Louis-Ferdinand Destouches, plus connu sous son nom de plume Louis-Ferdinand Céline, généralement abrégé en Céline, (27 mai 1894, Courbevoie - 1er juillet 1961, Meudon), médecin et écrivain français, le plus traduit et diffusé dans le monde parmi ceux du XXe siècle, avant Marcel Proust.

Sa pensée nihiliste est teintée d’accents héroïcomiques et épiques emplis d’une force et d’une vivacité inouïes. Controversé, essentiellement pour certains écrits contenant des propos antisémites (pamphlets), publiés entre 1937 et 1941 - réimprimés pendant l’occupation -, il n’en demeure pas moins un écrivain majeur de la littérature française pour le reste de son Å“uvre, plus particulièrement ses romans.
